Server location and ping

Taming and PvP both punish lag. If your tribe is playing from Australia or New Zealand, ask a host exactly which datacentre your server runs on, not just which country the marketing page names.

RAM headroom for Unreal Engine 5

Survival Ascended's UE5 remaster needs at least 16 GB of RAM just to run, and a server with mods or a full player count needs closer to 32 GB. Be especially wary here - a host that quotes the same RAM tier for Ascended as it does for the original ARK is undersizing the plan for this engine.

Mod support
